Weddings by Design Our Travel is the destination wedding division of the award winning travel agency, Design Our Travel® LLC.
We keep our team small to ensure you work one-on-one from start to finish with one of our professional wedding travel planners that have been to the destinations we sell.
Agency owner, Sarah Barlow, leads the wedding team with over 5 years of experience and over 100 resort and wedding venue inspections.
Our services include custom destination wedding planning + travel services in Mexico + the Caribbean.
We are proud to partner with preferred suppliers, resorts, wedding vendors, transportation companies, and travel protection providers.
We serve clients across the US, are licensed and insured to sell travel packages to you and your guests residing in 49 states (sorry, Hawaii)!

Why should I work with Weddings by Design Our Travel instead of just directly with the resort?
Couples who opt to directly work with resorts often find themselves struggling, as they're left to navigate every decision independently. If you're new to destination weddings, not only can this lead to overwhelm, but to frustration and that you are having to make decisions without knowing all of the details.
How far in advance should I start planning our Destination Wedding?
We recommend starting the planning process at least 12 to 18 months before your desired wedding date. This allows ample time to secure your preferred venue, accommodations, and vendors, especially for popular destinations and peak seasons.
How much does it cost to work with you?
We offer three destination wedding planning packages so that you can find the best fit for your vision, budget, + level of service you desire. During our complimentary consultation we go into details about each of our package options and their pricing. We also offer a la carte options so that you can truly customize your experience with us.
What's the difference between hiring you and hiring a traditional wedding planner?
It's a rarity in the destination wedding industry to find someone that can offer it all in a one-stop-shop. Hi, it's us! We have been working with destination wedding couples for the resort selection + travel portion of their destination weddings for the past five years. Recently, we saw a need (for several reasons, but one being the lack of communication that sometimes happens when you work solely with a resort wedding team) to include actual destination wedding planning services into our Service Menu for our couples. So, instead of having two different people assist you - one for travel and one for planning - we can offer these services as a package. If you still just want to use our agency for the travel portion, we can do that as well!

Our wedding team is dedicated to providing personalized attention, expert guidance, and exceptional service throughout the entire wedding planning process. We truly believe in seeing the destinations, resorts, + venues we sell in person. We keep a very preferred list of partners that we have vetted, met in person, and explored their venues. The last thing you want is someone to assist you with one of the most important days in your life that has never done destination weddings and been to the places they are proposing to you.
